The West Bengal Police (WBP) Recruitment Board has collected applications for Kolkata Police recruitment from 1 March 2024, and the last date for submission was 29 March 2024. The recruitment board aims to fill out the 3734 vacancies comprising 3464 openings for constables and 270 for lady constable posts.

KP Constable Selection Process
The Kolkata police selection process includes various stages which are given below:
- Preliminary Exam: It is the first stage in the selection process. It is conducted as a screening test. It is conducted to evaluate the awareness of the candidates. Selected candidates will be called for the next phase of the selection process.
- Physical Measurement Test: After the written exam, a physical measurement test will be held. In this test, the height chest, and weight of the candidates will be measured.
- Physical Efficiency Test: This stage involves running, long jump and high jump to test the candidates.
- Interview: The last stage in the selection process is the interview. A merit list is prepared based on Final Written Examination and Interview marks. Candidates’ proficiency in speaking Bengali is also assessed during the interview.

- Candidates have 1 hour to complete the examination.
- The question paper will be bilingual.
