For the WB TET 2023 Exam, the board published an official notification on 13 September 2023. A large number of applications were received from 14 September to 04 October 2023. Then the officials issued admit cards to the eligible candidates.
Previously, the examination was scheduled for 10 December 2023, but later it was postponed to 24 December 2023. As the examination has been completed successfully, the board will release the WB TET Result in the upcoming weeks.
West Bengal TET Exam Overview
The board organized an offline OMR-Based Test. There were a total of 150 multiple-choice questions in the exam. Questions were available in both English and Bengali language. Each question carried one mark and there was no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates were given 3 hours to complete the test.
WB TET Result 2025 Preparation Process
The participants have submitted their answer sheets to their invigilators. Now, the board is working on the evaluation of these sheets. Once the answer sheet of each candidate is evaluated, the board will shortlist the applicants based on their marks. The board is highly anticipated to declare the WB TET Result in April 2024. Candidates have to check their qualifying status by themselves through the board’s official site only.
WB Teacher Eligibility Test Qualifying Marks
It is mentioned in the WB TET Notification that each candidate has to score marks more than or equal to the minimum qualifying marks as set by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. As per the criteria set by the board, candidates have to secure 60% or more marks to be considered qualified for the examination.
It means an applicant should score 90 or more marks out of 150 to qualify for the examination. For the candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ Differently Abled Categories and Ex-serviceman the minimum qualifying marks will be 55% only.
